The Only Castle Dining Experience in Eastern Japan: A Premium Dinner at Shiroishi Castle and a Luxurious Stay at Kamasaki Onsen with 600 Years of Tradition

This exclusive luxury plan combines a private premium dinner inside Shiroishi Castle with a stay at the newly opened luxury hot spring inn “THE YUKAWA” at Kamasaki Onsen (opening Autumn 2025).

Dining inside a Japanese castle is an exceptionally rare experience—Shiroishi Castle is the only place in Eastern Japan where it is possible. Moreover, Shiroishi Castle is one of only five castles in the country to be faithfully reconstructed in traditional wood, and in 2025 it celebrates the 30th anniversary of its reconstruction.

Meanwhile, THE YUKAWA carries on the 600-year legacy of the renowned ryokan Yunushi Ichijō, offering a modern luxury stay with open-air baths in every suite.

For this plan, Shiroishi Castle will be entirely reserved for your party. The head chef of THE YUKAWA personally designs and supervises a special menu, crafted from carefully selected seasonal ingredients from Miyagi and the Tohoku region.
Guests will also enjoy live Tsugaru shamisen performances and breathtaking night views from the castle tower.

This exclusive dinner features a castle-only menu, distinct from the standard dinner served at THE YUKAWA. Guests’ preferences can be discussed in advance, allowing the menu to be tailored accordingly.

Welcome Ceremony (Optional, Additional Charge)

・Guests are welcomed at Shiroishi-Zao Station by samurai in full armor.
・Upon arrival at Shiroishi Castle, guests may take part in a hands-on armor-dressing experience.
・A ceremonial welcome is then performed by the Katakura Matchlock Gun Corps, featuring a celebratory matchlock gun salute.
